Weightlifting for fat loss
Generally as far as excercise is concerned, aerobic workouts are associated with weight loss, and particularly fat loss. Weightlifting is also useful in a comprehensive plan to lose fat.
The principle is quite simple. When one strains muscles and works them out the muscles are repeatedly depleted of ATP and a message is sent throughout the body that the stores of ATP and sugar in the muscles must be much greater. This conditiones the muscles to build up a bigger reserve of sugar so that after every meal, a larger percentage of glucose from the meal makes it's way into the muscles rather than being converted to fat.
